1. You have an obligation to yourself and to the world to achieve your goals and exact your values.

2. You have an obligation to give nothing short of 100% on every task you perform.

3. You have a limited amount of time, and can therefore do limited things.

4. It’s important to set achievable goals, yet have enough of them and enough variety such that time-wasting can be avoided. The system for this is as follows:

1. For each day, and the next two, have a list of actions that satisfy the following template:

1. 1 primary task

2. 2 secondary tasks

3. 3+ tertiary tasks

4. Relevant down-time tasks

5. Relevant break-time tasks

2. For each week, have a list of goals that satisfy the following template:

1. 1 primary goal

2. 2 secondary goals

3. 3+ tertiary goals

3. For each month, your preparation tasks are slightly more extensive.

1. You need to think about where you are in pursuit of your goals, and where you need to be. Make some notes about this, and retain the analysis in your memory as well.

2. Next, you must orchestrate a plan for accomplishing what you need to during the month. This plan must at least consist of, in its barebone form:

1. The sequence of actions that will lead to the accomplishment of each goal

2. The possible impediments to achieving that goal, and solutions to them

3. Analysis of the state of all areas of one’s life, their intended directions, and key perspectives and events to be aware of in the coming weeks.

4. An honest evaluation of one’s goals and the efficacy of this system.

4. After each task, evaluate what you’ve accomplished, what’s going on around you, and what you need to do next

5. The criteria for deciding what to do next are simple:

You do the most important task that you have the capacity to do, unless there is another that would yield better results at that time.

6. It’s important to plan to be able to carry out the tasks that you should be doing at any given time, so think in advance, and be prepared with whatever materials you may need.

You must keep track of what your monthly, weekly, and daily goals are. Furthermore, you must be able to adjust them as needed.

You may have noticed that there's one thing I don't complain about: Politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says, "They suck". But where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. No, they come from American parents, American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses, American universities and they're elected by American voters. This is the best we can do, folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out.

If you have selfish ignorant citizens, you are going to get selfish ignorant leaders. So maybe, maybe it’s not the politicians who suck, maybe it’s something else that sucks around here…like…the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There’s a nice campaign slogan for somebody, “the public sucks, fuck hope” because if it’s really the fault of all these politicians, then where are all the good people with conscience? Where are all the bright and intelligent Americans ready to step in; ready to save the nation, lead the way? We don’t have people like that in this country. Everybody’s at the mall, scratching their ass, picking their nose and taking their credit cards out of their fanny wallet to buy a pair of sneakers with lights in them.

But....I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home and I don’t vote, Fuck ‘em!! Two reasons I don’t vote, first of all it’s meaningless. This country was bought, sold and paid for a long time ago. The shit that gets shuffled around every four years doesn’t mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain", but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain.

I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for what these politicians have done and have every right to complain as loud as I want about the mess that you created that I had nothing to do with."

So I know that a little down this year you’re going to have another one of those really swell presidential elections that you like so much, so you enjoy yourself, I know it’ll be a lot of fun. I’m sure as soon as your elections are over your country will approve immediately. As for me I’ll be home on that day, doing essentially the same thing as you…the only difference is when I get finished masturbating I’m going to have a little to show for it folks.

Ο ήλιος του απογεύματος

Την κάμαρην αυτή, πόσο καλά την ξέρω.
Τώρα νοικιάζονται κι αυτή κ’ η πλαγινή
για εμπορικά γραφεία. Όλο το σπίτι έγινε
γραφεία μεσιτών, κ’ εμπόρων, κ’ Εταιρείες.

A η κάμαρη αυτή, τι γνώριμη που είναι.

Κοντά στην πόρτα εδώ ήταν ο καναπές,
κ’ εμπρός του ένα τουρκικό χαλί·
σιμά το ράφι με δυο βάζα κίτρινα.
Δεξιά· όχι, αντικρύ, ένα ντολάπι με καθρέπτη.
Στη μέση το τραπέζι όπου έγραφε·
κ’ η τρεις μεγάλες ψάθινες καρέγλες.
Πλάι στο παράθυρο ήταν το κρεββάτι
που αγαπηθήκαμε τόσες φορές.

Θα βρίσκονται ακόμη τα καϋμένα πουθενά.

Τι συμφορά, ενώ είσαι καμωμένος

τα δύσκολα και τ’ ανεκτίμητα Εύγε·
την Aγορά, το Θέατρο, και τους Στεφάνους.

Aυτά πού θα σ’ τα δώσει ο Aρταξέρξης,
αυτά πού θα τα βρεις στη σατραπεία·
και τι ζωή χωρίς αυτά θα κάμεις.

Επέστρεφε συχνά και παίρνε με,
